Susan Bonnett taught in the public school system for 13 years. She resigned her position as a reading specialist to pursue her passion to teach children who are struggling with dyslexia. She knew in her heart that each child needed a different approach other than what was offered in most public schools. Susan made a commitment to provide an educational environment where children with dyslexia can renew their confidence and love of learning. She is dedicated to helping children identify their strengths and weaknesses and apply those skills to create a blueprint for success. Susan and her husband, Ben live in Pleasant Hill with their two daughters. Susan’s youngest daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADD in the fourth grade. After seeing the struggles of her daughter in the public school system, she became an advocate for specialized dyslexia instruction. Susan also has a daughter and three grandchildren in Pleasant Hill and a son and daughter-in-law who live in Texas. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
